Spring awakening

A kind of magic

It was a night of full moon and a celebration for my dear friend. I'm super sentimental and saw the epic sky as an obvious sign from some greater force, that it was a truly magical moment we were in. There's something so huge and purely beautiful about these moments when you, for once, actually take time to observe the progress you (a youngster) are in. LIFE! I'm a sucker for epic greatness. I didn't intend to take these pictures and I'm a big fan of that. These were not meant to be, but are so special to me, in so, so many ways.

madame chic

One chic afternoon with my loved ones. Loving the brown eyes btw! Blue eyes are easier to photograph cause they reflect light better, but I personally prefer brown ones cause they're cuter, ha! (Not really the  fancy argument you'd expect). First it rained then shined, we saw a rainbow too!  These are probably going to be the last few really sunny days. Goodbye summer!

Il cuore altrove

I had my italian friend modeling to me for these photos. She has the italian 'flavor' and is just the epitome of a beautiful italian woman -very feminine and dramatic with her appearances (as well as demeanors) And a true 'mamma' in making. I didn't even need to style her, this really is how she is. And apparently I have some kind of neck fetish. I also love the art house-ish feel of these pictures that kinda reminds me of classic Pupi Avati films (that's where I got the title).

j'adore

The story is that I spent some time in Paris with my camera. I'm actually not a big fan of these pictures and one reason is that I know there were better ones. I love a good staging but unfortunately had no time for it. I also have like 9000 pictures in my camera and don't feel like going through them all right now so I might as well publish some now since I've received lots of positive feedback lately and intend to keep the thing going. 

little by little

I was very fortunate to have my beautiful cousin to model for me in this shoot. She has a great personality which I tried my best to capture. She differences from the norms in a refreshing way. If anything, she's special. We were trying different outfits on and I could just see her transforming into this beautiful young woman. I'm looking forward to see how she will grow to be like and really hope she continues to embrace her own, unique way of being.

mist

This morning was very misty so I just had to go out and capture it. I associate the mist with longing, "waiting" feeling  -not sad though. It's like a glimpse of a fairy tale world. You can't quite figure is it beautiful or frightening, it's simply magical. 

backyard

Within the universal color symbols, yellow stands for impurity and decay. I photograph buildings in a way like people -trying to persuade them to show their uniqueness. The main goal still is to present buildings and structures as a modernistic art pieces, where it's all about the lines, shapes and colors. That's why this dirty yellow got me exited:it has the needed unique feel to it that creates the kind of intimate atmosphere worth photographing.
